Dr. James S. Schwerin, O.D.

Dr. James Schwerin joined the Howlin Vision Clinic in 1976 after graduating from Illinois College of Optometry. He specializes in primary care, ocular disease management with pharmaceutical agents, refractive surgery pretesting and postop care, contact lenses, and loves working with all ages. He volunteers and sings at his church and loves all outdoor activities. His wife Judi and he have been blessed with two daughters Terra and Liesl, both in graduate school.

Dr. Wayne G. Slothouber O.D.

Dr. Lisa M. Kollis-Young, O.D.

Dr. Lisa Kollis-Young has been with Eye Site since 1999. She specializes in primary care, ocular disease management, contact lenses, and loves working with children. She currently is the Vice-President of the SD Board of Optometry and is a Past-President of the SD Optometric Society. She serves in different volunteer positions and is active in her church. She is very blessed to be supported by her husband Jason, an analyst at the SD Air National Guard and two beautiful girls, Allison and Jamie.

Dr. Charles R. Howlin, O.D.

Dr. Charles Howlin became partners in 1962 with Dr. Rooney and Dr. Nooney. In 1972 he bought out Dr. Rooney and started the Howlin Vision Clinic. He graduated from Augustana College in 1957 and continued his education at the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating in 1961. He specializes in nutritional support to promote eye health and eye sight. Dr. Howlin has been blessed with 4 children. He enjoys recreational activities such as tennis and hockey.
